Where has 7 months gone?!? It feels like a lifetime ago when my triplets were born. So much has happened over the past 7 months and Peyton has come so far. She’s been home for 3 months now.
It’s hard to believe that she has spent more time in the hospital than at home (4 months in the Nicu), but that will change next month! In honor of another month and milestone, we played dress up…of course! Peyton is living up to her princess nickname and she sure knows how to pose for the camera. This adorable tutu and “Princess” onesie were gifts, as well as those oh-so-cute ballet slippers. My heart melted because I was a dancer growing up.
Peyton has become quite the celebrity–we are hoping it doesn’t all go to her head! My news station stopped by the house to tape a message for viewers and Peyton wanted to make sure people could hear her. She gabbed through the entire segment. It’s funny to think that we, along with some doctors, were concerned about her lack of voice when she came home in October. Peyton has found it with a vengeance! You can watch the clip by clicking this link: Peyton’s Big Milestone. During it, I mentioned the next time people will see me on television will be from the WAND studio, not my living room. We are tying up a few loose ends around the house before I head back to work in the near future. It was nice to hear from so many people after the segment aired on the news. I will have been off the air about 10 months by the time I return and I have to wonder if people actually missed me? No, I’m not insecure, but I think it’s a typical concern for someone whose job is in the public eye. For someone in my industry, 10 months is an eternity!
Something a lot of people also commented on was how big she is. Pictures don’t do her justice. I held up her first outfit on tv, which were doll clothes, and you could really see how big Peyton is today. I went through some of her old pictures to compare. The newborn size denim skirt she went home, finally fits. And those adorable leg warmers my mother knit–they fit perfectly now! Check out her onesie Ryan’s mother picked out…it says “I’m cute, Mom is cute, Dad is lucky”.
My mom comes to town today and I couldn’t be more excited. She hasn’t been here since November, so she will be shocked at how much Peyton has grown. She’ll be helping out over the next week, which means I should have some free time to update a few things on the blog. I plan on adding to the “Photos” section. It’s something I’ve been meaning to do for months. I am also working on a special blog post for next week. It was exactly a year ago when Ryan and I went through IVF treatment. I shared my story of infertility back in May, but I want to revisit it. So many people have reached out with their stories and struggles, I want to be a voice once again. Look for the emotional blog post next week. But for now, I’ll leave you with Peyton’s hilarious facial expressions. It seems to be a weekly occurrence. This girl gets funnier by the day!

I love to see pictures of Peyton growing up. It gives me something to look forward to. She sure has gotten in her own lately. I can see the look in her eyes! LOL Just think before long she will be sitting up, crawling and walking. Then watch out. Glad your able to return to work. p.s. Every time I see Peyton I want another grandbaby…..my husband said 7 is enough!
Love the pics of her smiling! Also, the ballerina one where she looks like she’s propping up her head with her fist. So glad she is thriving!
Peyton is soooo cute! And she is a beauty already!
Fantastic!!! Ms P. is getting so big! Can’t wait to see you back on the air again!!
Stacey and Ryan, The picture of Peyton looking down with her hand supporting her reminds me of Stacey’s pictures when she was little. She might almost be thinking about something like she has seen Mommy and Daddy think….She is so precious and getting more beautiful every day. So glad you have found a nanny, Stacey. Your mom says you all like her a lot and that is great. Hope Denver wins on Sunday so Peyton can be even happier. Love, Aunt Mary and Uncle Mitch
