It’s a chaotic, yet exciting time—bringing home a baby. From the cuddles, to the precious little features, a newborn baby is sure to make your heart swell with pride. But as we prepared to bring our new baby into this world, my husband and I were a little lost. Our lone surviving triplet didn’t come home from the hospital like other babies. Instead, she spent nearly four months in the NICU, before coming home attached to an oxygen tank and monitors.
Our sweet “rainbow baby” arrived and we were filled with so many emotions as we brought Piper home just a day later. Even though she was healthy, I faced anxiety and nerves as I worried about our new baby. There was no way I would ever sleep comfortably unless I was able to monitor Piper. That’s why we put our trust in the Owlet Smart Sock and Camera.

I had read quite a bit about the smart sock and was impressed with how easy it was to set up and use. You simply put the sock on your child’s foot and it syncs with a base station. The best part? You can monitor your baby through your smart phone! The Owlet Smart Sock tracks heart rate and oxygen and notifies you if your baby’s levels fall out outside the preset zones. I love being able to pull up the Owlet App and check on Piper’s levels. The App also connects to the camera, so there is no need for a separate monitor.
After experiencing the deaths of two of our triplets and spending much of our time caring for a medically fragile child, it’s no wonder we were quite scared to bring a healthy baby home. But the Owlet Smart Sock has given me peace of mind, allowing me to sleep while knowing my baby is safe as she dreams the night away.
I am so excited to team up with Owlet for this post. While the company gifted me the product, the opinions in this post are my own. #sponsored
That’s awesome
